Venture Pitch Night Winners

Cherrystone Angel Group has revealed the winners of its annual Venture Pitch Night held October  20th at the CIC Building in Providence, Rhode Island. Over 100 participants came to the event to celebrate the strength of the start-up sector in New England, and hear presentations from 10 start-up companies operating in a variety of sectors as follows:

  • Consumer Products & Services: Pointz, Mount, Student Ally

  • Software & Communications: IQ3Connect, Noteworthy AI

  • Life Sciences & Medical: Safe Tap, Novaurum, Remedium, LYT Skincare

  • Materials Science: Folio

Each company made a five minute presentation followed by a three minute Q&A session led by a panel of judges consisting of Cherrystone members Nick Kishfy, Bari Harlam and Michael Keohane.

Venture Pitch Night 2021 WINNERS

  • Gold: Mount – software platform that takes existing assets (think scooters, surfboards, electric bikes) and turns them into assets that anyone can rent.

  • Silver: Safe Tap – a device for infant stabilization that could significantly improve success rates for the lumbar puncture procedure.

  • Bronze (tie): Remedium – reprogramming the cells of the joint to produce the only clinically proven molecule to increase cartilage; and Folio - patented coating process that creates new markets for specialty paper

  • Local favorite: Pointz - safety focused "Waze" designed for bikes and scooter riders.
